My Name Is Matthew Donald Mcgrath, I’m a history buff, grad from UNH and part time amateur photographer, each week or month depending on how busy things are, I will write a history tidbit, I hope you enjoy

After the prophet Mohammad’s death in ad 632, Islam spread from the middle east across North Africa and to the borders of India. Early Islamic rulers brought unity to this realm, and by the 9th century traders and merchants traveled by dhow across the Indian ocean. Pilgrims converged on Mecca each year for hajj, some such explorers were poet Nasir-I-Khusraw, Ibn Jubayer a spnish moore and Ibn Fadhlan and abu’l-Hasan al Mas’udi.
